How many dates should you go on before you decide if you like them?

Q: How many dates should you go on before you know if you like someone?

A: Here’s my rule:
If it’s not a hard no, let it be a soft maybe.

What does that mean?

If your whole body is screaming absolutely not at the first meet-up—
👉 He’s not the guy for you.
No need to push through. No need to overthink it.
Just... no thanks.

But if your body feels calm, or curious, or even just neutral?
That’s your cue to give it a little more time. 💝

Because sometimes chemistry shows up quietly.
And compatibility takes more than a couple of hours to reveal itself.

We’re often trained to look for that immediate “spark” (I’ve written about this before), but that quick hit of dopamine isn’t always the best compass.

Sometimes the best connections are the slow-burn, steady-build kind. 📶

So—
If you're not totally turned off,
If you're not spotting any major red flags,
If it feels fine but you’re just not sure yet…

Give yourself a couple more meetups to find out.

You don’t need to decide your whole future after one coffee.
You don’t have to rely on instant attraction.
You don't need clarity, just curiosity.

I usually ask myself,

“Do I want to spend a few more hours with this person?”
And if the answer is yes, I do that.
If the answer is no, I don’t.

 So simple!

And hey—you can cancel anytime. 😉
